Thanks! It's good to have your own website. For a while I have to adjust to the new format of the lesson title. I thought the titles before were better but later I realized the title now is better because it includes the quarter. Thanks again!
Dear Pastor Vicente,I'm glad to find out that you had this site, for this reminds me of our interesting experienced at the GSIS Office in Manila. sharing the gospel to those employees during their break time!At the same time, I've learned and been blessed for the Bible Study Guide you shared to me. I had used it and still using in different places and new circumstances to all kinds of people I met even for the first time with the passion of sharing God's love! Thanks again and may this new medium will continually be of blessing for others who will study God's Word!God bless you...In His Ministry,Chaplain ElyOrlando, FL
Hi Ely! For several semesters now I have been posting the weekly Sabbath School lesson in powerpoint show in a website created for me at the request of CLC. Unfortunately the sponsor of that website has decided not to renew the contract killing the site. My wife and I were in Singapore last week visiting our children. My son-in-law created for me a new website. It's a new system and I am still learning how to use it. CLC's Communication Director told me he is introducing this site to his 200 correspondents. Was this the way you learned of this site? It's my prayer that this material will be useful to your ministry in the same way that others have found it so.
Ariel M. Tiozon
Hello po!Thanks for sharing the SS lessons. I have a question I would like for you to elaborate. In this week's lesson, it says that the sins of the nation are corporately cleansed. Does that mean that their sins are just SYMBOLICALLY pardoned and only takes FINAL abolition on the Day of Atonement?Another thing, ..Isnt it that the curtain dividing the Holy from the Most Holy is the place where the BLOOD of the sacrificial animals are sprinkled?..If it is washed once a year, does that mean there is no longer a partition between?..What would the lack of partition symbolize, if any? While this may not be included in this weeks lesson, may I ask what you think about this...When God forgives, does He still keep a record of it?..Or does He forgets ALL about that sin?...Thanks alot po...and Have a nice day..
1. Does the corporate cleansing of Israel's sins mean that their sins are just symbolically pardoned and only takes final abolition on the Day of Atonement? Everything that is done in the sanctuary are symbolical. "In the Bible the sacrificial system was established in order to illustrate how God was going to solve the problem of sin. ... the animal was a symbol of Jesus, who would give the His life in place of ours." (Lesson 6, Introductory, par. 1). "The Israelite sanctuary was cleansed one a year from the sin and impurities of Israel.... The yearly ritual symbolically represented the time when God, from His heavenly place, would bring an end to the problem of sin and restore the whole universe to its original harmony." (Lesson 7, Introductory, par. 1)."When the repentant sinners brought their sacrifices to the Lord ... they were manifesting faith, that the Lord would grant them forgiveness by accepting the life of the sacrificial victim in their stead." (Lesson 6, Introductory, par. 2).While both the daily acts and the yearly act were symbolic in nature, the pardons received during these activities were actual pardons (not symbolical pardons) since they were based on their faith on what these activities symbolized: faith on the pardon that will be brought about by the coming death of Christ for them on Calvary. While the pardoning act was still to come, that pardoning act is already applied because of their faith in it.2. If the curtain dividing the Holy from the Most Holy is washed once a year, does this mean there is no longer a partition between? 3. What would the lack of partition symbolize? There is no Biblical account that the curtain was removed and literally washed to be cleansed. The cleansing was symbolical in that the sins transfered into the sanctuary on a daily basis were removed by the ritual involving the scapegoat. (see Lesson 7, Wednesday).4. When God forgives, does He still keep a record of it? Or does He forgets all about the sin?He does both.He forgets. Isa. 44:22; Jer. 31:34; Micah 7:19.He records: Rev. 20:11-15.His forgetting tells us that His pardon is complete. as far as He is concerned, as if there was no sin committed. His recording is for the sake of transparency. Records remain to show to the redeemed and those who will die the final death that His basis of pardon is just. It can stand any investigative judgment.I hope these answers helped you to better understand God's plan of salvation.
Thank you po, Pastor..Your answers did indeed shed more light to what little I understand about Forgiveness...and about the plan of redemption..
I am sorry, I used my net name, grantson...But just the same, THANKS for your in depth explanation..grantson.
Pastor I read one of your comments and you had a problem with the subscription of your host site. I know a free blogsite that will cater services for free. If you have a problem on the development, i will render my service for free also for the glory of God. Just e-mail me. God bless po.
Hello Bro Velasco. Thank you for your offer. What I am using now is also free. This was created for me by my son-in-law. Compared to my first site, some find this one easier to download from. I hope that this site will continue to serve the purpose of helping our brethren in using the powerpoint presentation in teaching the Sabbath School lesson. I will remember your offer of service. It might become handy in the future. God bless your ministry as you keep yourself in an attitude of always ready to serve Him.
Please make this confidential. ^_^
Joy, my heart goes with you. That's a big burden upon your shoulder. I will communicate with you about this matter via email. Please confirm your email address by sending me a note to email@example.com
Pastor CRV,The power point presentation is so easy to use, very nice presentation and no need to modify for its substance is already complete and taken into. Thanks for theadvice to logged in to your website, (you advised me when we've met at Heigts SDA church, while you're having your Stewardship seminar) Just as it was before, it is already Friday and yet CLC website's is not yet updated. Your presentation should be a must for all SS Superitendent and small group teachers....thanks again...more power to your ministry.Bro. Ruel S. SanchezPangarap SDA ChurchCaloocan City
Dear Pastor CRV,A church brother has encounterred a website called exadventist. This brother begun giving me some questions regarding our doctrines based from what he had read from this website. I also openned it prayed hard for enlightened spirit. I am now doing some research and scripture studies, maybe you could help me answered the brothers questions and at the same time repudiate or prove this exadventist wrong. Thanks, hoping for your urgent reply.Bro. Ruel S. SanchezPangarap SDA Church
Bro. Ruel,Am sorry for this delayed answer. I was the morning devotonal series speaker at the Union office last week.I'd be glad to help answer the questions raised by this brother. I see there is a need to help him be strong in the Adventist faith. As for the former Adventist, we can only pray that the Holy Spirit continue to minister with him. It is almost futile for us to cross sword with people who has closed their minds and has started fighting the truth they once held.
thanks pastor for the reviews and presentation for the lesson... God bless!
very nice resources for our ss lessons.. thanks pastor for the effort and spirit of sharing.. God bless your ministry..ramcivDiet and weight loss ResourcesThe Chef's Recipe Book
Dear Pr Vicente,Thank you for sharing with us your thoughts and putting into a simplified presentation the lessons. I shared your website here in SSD and they were very thankful, esp for the busy directors who were often requested by churches they visit to lead the lesson study.Cheers to you! God bless your Ministry!
Before this and the first website, the powerpoint presentations were sent to my pastor friends via the email. It is the thought that these ppts are helping them in their ministries that moves me to share this condensed Bible Study Guides.
Thank you for the wonderful powerpoint presentations you're providing weekly to many Sabbath School classes around the world and may God continue to bless your ministry.
I pray that every user of these presentations be blessed with insights from the original author, the Holy Spirit. They are, at best, simply condensed versions of the Adult Bible Study Guide, and like the latter, must always be a tool for the ministry of the Spirit of God for them to be profitable.
pastor, yung lesson 5 is the same with lesson 4.. kindly check po..
Hello Bong. Thank you for calling my attention. And to all of you whose time was wasted by opening a useless lesson, I am sorry. Please accept my apology.
(hirit pa)...thanks alot pastor and God bless!
May advantage yun. Isang tip.
Hello Everyone! Some of you early birds (those who log in on Wednesday evening) maybe wondering why there is no page for the fourth quarter lessons on the Book of Numbers. My eldest brother, aged 80, was a victim of Ondoy's wrath and I was at the funeral parlor ministering to one of his children last night. We went home at 4 a.m. Hopefully, we will return to the old schedule of Wednesday Uploading next week. God bless!
Hello Pastor,Long time since I "bothered" you with my querries. Our lesson for this coming week is about Dedication, and altho my question isnt 'included' in it, while browsing thru, I remembered something I have been meaning to ask a pastor. "What is the significance of dedicating a new house, or a new car?.Is there a biblical basis for doing it?.".I know the meaning of dedicating someone or something (materials or furnishings for church use) but dedicating a house or a car makes me wonder if maybe we believe in a sort of "anting-anting"I know dedicating it doesnt make it unvulnerable to accidents, so why do it?any opinion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot, Timm
Hello Bro. Timm,It's good to hear from you again! While we do not have a record of houses (and understandably, cars) being dedicated in the Scriptures, we take the principle from the dedication of the Wilderness Tabernacle and later the Temple of Solomon.I have lead the dedication of houses and automobiles. During the homily prior to the dedicatory prayer, I emphasize that the dedication is an act of recognition by the possessor to God's ownership. God is the real owner of the house or car. This recognition results to the possessor's promise to the Owner that he will take good care of this property and use it only according to the Owner's purposes. (The possessor says a vow to this effect before the dedicatory prayer.)In dedicating the property, the possessor is re-dedicating himself to God being the chosen user of His particular property.
Thaks alot , Pastor, for taking the time to enlighten me....altho it took me so long to drop by here. But often, in my quest for answers, I encounter more questions.Does Mrs. White have anything to say about that subject? Should it be limited to us Seventh Day Adventists? Could it be "shared" with non-Adventists too?(I asked this questions coz you said the owner says a vow to use it only as God wants it to be used.)And SHOULD we encourage this practice among our fellow members?I am sorry for taking up your time but I have always loved your honest answers..Thanks alot, Pastor, and God Bless.
Thanks and more power.
Subukan mong muli.Contact me: 09178493408 kung hindi mo mai-download. And we'll try to find the problem together.
Bro. Timm,Let me answer your questions and number then so I won't miss any.1. Does EGW has anything to say on the subject? Using the Comprehensive Index to the Writings of Ellen G. White, volume one I found this: "If the money that is needed to build could be first accumulated, by strenuous efforts, and the church dedicated free from debt, how much better it would be. O, shall we not make it a rule when building a house for the Lord, to put forth earnest, persevering efforts, that it may be dedicated to Him free from debt...." (Counsels on Stewardship, p. 239. See also Testimonies, vol. 6, p.101.The discussion centers on the issue of debts as a result building a church. She is telling the brethren not to dedicate the church until the debt is fully paid. The practice of church dedication, however, is very clear here. I have not found any quotation yet on dedication of homes or transportations in her writings.2. Should this be limited to Adventist? No, I don't think so. I am willing to lead in the dedication of a house or car of a non-Adventist so long as they will subscribe to what I believe is the Biblical principle of dedication and that they won't insist on any rite that I don't adhere to as an Adventist minister.3. Could it be shared with non-Adventists? Why not? Any truth should be shared. In fact, the basis of this activity, which is the acceptance of God's ownership and man's stewardship must be taught as a foundation lesson before the testing truths such as the Sabbath, Tithe and Offerings, Food are taught.4. Should we encourage this practice among our fellow members? Again, why not? Dedication of what is placed in our hands to manage when done as a public act of acknowledgment of His ownership is a beautiful way of witnessing. We frown at it when it become an act of display instead.God bless!
Thanks alot, Pastor....I am satisfied with your explanations..More power to your ministry..
Dear Pastor,While at first glance this querry may seem ridiculous, for me, its not....Just yesterday, an acquaintance called and asked that we pray that God would let him die.. He has been in the hospital for a long time due to complications arising from numerous organ failures. They have incurred a huge amount of bills, and the doctors told them he wont get well. He is in so much pain and he just wants it to be over with. I have seen the sufferings, not only for him but for his family as well.My question is...is it alright to pray for his death?Hes a member of our church, but I cant bring myself to ask for a public prayer in church as i suspect it would "demoralize" the members faith..I cant bring myself to do as he wishes..What should I do?Thanks alot...and God Bless.
Bro. Timm,It may sound ridiculous, but it's a reality. Individuals who have lost hope in any station in life, unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel, no longer wish to get to that end. Last Friday. on our way to Lipa City, we passed by MAMC to visit Pastor Feir. He is now on a weekly dialysis and is helplessly held captive in bed. He said that he longed for the rest death provides. My own father who at 83 was restricted to his bed by illness told me, "Son, you are a minister and God will listen to you. Please ask Him to take my life!" Of course, I did not. Why should I?It is very interesting to learn that there are people in the Bible who wish for death. And they were even prophets! Jonah (Jonah 4:3, 8) and mighty Elijah (1 Kings 19:4) coveted death. Did God answer their prayers? No. God understands that these requests are a result of human frailties. Of hopelessness. To Jonah, He showed Him the unreasonableness of his plea. To Elijah, He gave him the rest of mind by giving him food and sleep. What we should pray for is for this brother's patient endurance in facing the physical pain he is suffering right now. And a faith that is strengthened by this traumatic experience. He should take hold on to the truth that, always, with no exception, God's actions toward His children are for their good, even if they, at the moment are unable to see or understand.
Dear Pastor Vicente,All over the world many are blessed by your lesson quarterly powerpoint. It is the most visited section of the CLC website. For that we would like to thank you very, very much.Pastor many of the recipients are requesting if we can post your powerpoint one week ahead so that they can have more time to study it.Is this request possible? Thanks,Pastor Ron
Hello Pastor Ron,The request for me to post the SSL powerpoint presentation is not an impossible thing to do. In fact I am now working on the last lesson of the quarter. There is one consideration, however, that prevents me from granting this request. And that is, the tendency to no longer study the regular Sabbath School Lesson and simply focus on what I have prepared. I do not want this to happen. We might say that my presentation is merely a condensed version of the lesson. It will do well for them to have seen first the regular, complete lesson before using mine because there are lots of important thoughts that I don't include for want of space. They have to know these to better use my presentation.I have chosen to upload the materials on Wednesday evening thinking that by this time they have studied the regular lesson and yet they can still have at least two days to get used to what I have prepared. If they have studied the regular lesson faithfully during the week, it will be easy for them to use mine even if they download it only on Friday.I am sorry to disappoint those who have made the request.
Thank you very Pastor Vicente. Your concern is valid.I will tell your reason of not posting ahead of time to those who are requesting.Pastor Ron
We are limited to the following directions. But God is unlimited in producing results.God bless.
Thank you so much for your time and effort in making all these power point presentations. May God continue to bless you in your ministry.
Dear Pastor Vicente,Greetings!!!It seems that there is a problem on Power Point # 6 "The Compassionate Savior", SS Lesson, (God's Great Missionaries).More Power to you!God Bless...
Hi Bro. Thomas,It seems that the uploaded lessons for the third quarter of 2008 have been removed to allow space for the latest lessons. It you will send me your email address, I can send you the lesson/s.Thank you for your interest in the past lessons.
Pls. re upload the presentation of the 2nd lesson of this quarter "LOVE". I cannot open the file. Thanks a lot.
Let your ministry be bless more.
Pls. re upload the presentation of the 7th lesson of this quarter "GOODNESS". I cannot open the file. Thanks a lot.
Ronie, I have found no problem with lesson 7 on "goodness." And so far you're the only complaint I have received. Were you able to open the others? If this is your first try, the problem could be the microsoft office you are using. You may need to update it.
Yes, maybe my internet connection is not working well last time. I already downloaded it and its working. Thank you very much.
Dear Pastor, Good day po. Itatanong ko po sana ang nasusulat sa Counsel of Stewardship; The Response of an Aroused Conscience, na ganito ang sinabi: According to the amount bestowed will be the amount required. The larger the capital entrusted, the more valuable gift which God requires to be returned to Him. If a Christian has ten or twenty thousand dollars, God's claim are imperative upon him, not only to give his proportion according to tithing system, but to present his sin offerings, and thank offerings to God.-4T 466, 467.Ano po ang tugon ninyo at ang Biblia tungkol sa nasusulat sa itaas na talata?Salamat pong muli. Salamat po.God bless us all.
Dear Pastor, Seems like I only come here to post my questions, but truth be told, I use your page as a help in preparing for my SS Lessons. This time I got another question to ask.I have always been "taught" that duck meat and eggs are ok for food, as they are classified as fowls and not mammals with regards to their feet. Until recently I got a shock when someone at church lectured that a duck is considered an unclean food. Is there anything you can share whether this is correct or not? Thanks alot for your help.
Bro Timm,In our church there are lot of issues that are never officially resolved. An example of this is the human nature of Jesus. What is it? Pre-Adam or Post Adam? (Before of after sin?). Both camps have Biblical and SOP support ed texts and quotations. The duck issue is the same. Some ministers use the Bible (Lev 11; Deut 14) to say that while it is not specifically named, it is of the same specie as those listed. On the other hand, the translated names of the birds are not very accurate. This is the reason why it is possible to hear two sides on the issue. You will notice that the indicators for land animals (chews the cud and divided hoof) and water animals (scales and fins) are very definite. There are none among the birds. The list of birds however indicate that those prohibited are the are the scavengers (they feed on dead carcasses). When the Bible is not very clear on any issue, it best for us not to be very definitive in asserting our views on the matter. Most of these issues are on the peripheral and does not impact our salvation.Sometimes they waste the time needed to study the more important matters for our salvation. Some call it mastering on minors!
I, too, was busy this summer vacation, thats why I only opened your page today. But I am satisfied with your opinion about this matter. I agree that such trivial matters should not take up the time needed for more study on important lessons regarding our salvation, nevertheless issues such as these require clearer understanding to avert arguments..Thank you ever so much for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Dear Pastor,My apologies for the seemingly impolite letter above..I didnt notice that my puter was "misbehaving" when I typed the salutations, and in my eagerness to send it, I didnt bother to check..I am sorry for that..I hope you will accept my apologies.
These Sabbath School Lesson ppt is so wonderful. It help me & i'm so eager to share it every sabbath in our small group.Grabs attention & zero in on Christ--the substance of truth...Godbless --Trinity Adventist International Church, GRACE group
@Timm. Nothing to worry about. Blogging in cyberspace is a very informal matter. Content is more important than form so much that readers overlook typos.@Isagani. It gladdens my heart to hear that more and more people are finding these ppt presentations useful. It pushes me to take this ministry more seriously. May God continue to enrich your teaching ministry.
Dear Pastor Claro Vicente,Thanks for this special ministry, I have use this in Dubai SDA Church and share it in the class too, some members were already visited your site too.I'm a member in Tagalog class for Sabbath School but in Church group, I'm a member in Visayan Group of Dubai SDA Church..Once again, more power and blessing in your ministry.
You are doing a great and marvellous job. Even this doesn't just explain the job are doing. May God enlarge your territory. I hope someone will thank you in heaven saying, 'I'm here because of your ministry. However I wish you do the whole quarterly (that is the current one). SHALOM
@Joel. Dubai! I am excited to hear this ppt is being used there. May the Holy Spirit use it to nurture God's children in your church. From whom did you learn of this website?@Pr. Modukanele. Only eternity will tell the result of our individual ministry. That's why we need to be faithful to God and serve Him well. What country are you from? How did you come to know of this website?
One time I searched in google regarding Sabbath School Lessons in Tagalog, then I arrive at your website Pastor ClaRoV.The Tagalog comments in your file are very useful, although I presented to them your original file, based on your appeal, I have a copy of your tagalog comment in my phone for reference ^_^.God Bless your ministry Pastor. more power and blessings!.
Since i went on my IT studies,I thought the kind of evangelism your doing and now i believe that GOD is using you while preparing me to take over.MAY LORD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY, AND PRAY FOR ME THAT I MAY REACH YOUR LEVEL.ADVICE.If you have the Daniel and Revelation soft copies please send them to me.may GOD be with you in your works.
I really appreciate your work. I have one query though, Is there any way you could put the notes to the slides in English.
@Awsum. Sorry, I noticed your post just now. What you find in the notes are the Tagalog translations of what is found in the slides. This is a help for those who teach the lesson in the Pilipino dialect. They are not explanations to the lesson.
Pastor CRV:As before, I enjoy reading your PowerPoint Bible studies. I have one suggestion to make, although I still don't know how to go about it myself. It would be nice if you could synchronize an audio with the slides. I've seen one on the 'Net. It's powerful -- two senses involved in learning instead of just one!Warm regards,Li
Li, good suggestion. It never crossed my mind to have something like that. Perhaps it's because I use this to teach the SS lesson in church and I am the audio! I, too, do not know how to do it. There should be a way to put audio and then turn it off (mute?) if the presentation is used to teach the lesson, specially when the vernacular is used in doing so.
Why am I not able to click on the current lesson?
Hi Carla, You can't open the current lesson when you tried yesterday (Tuesday) because I have uploaded the lesson just now. If the lesson title is already underlined, that means the lesson is already available. I usually upload the lesson on Wednesday evenings, RP time.
Thanks pastor for sharing this presentation. Im one of the readers of your SS discussion together with kuya Will and others at FB. I already created a link from NeMM website to your powerpoint presentation. More Power and God Bless.
@Joie. Thanks. You are helping this ministry to help the ministry of others. Lets pray that these presentations help people understand better the great love of God to humanity.
Thanks a lot for you power point presentation and comments i like it a lot,God bless you! i am using parts of your presentation, is it ok?God bless youAngel
Pr Angel,Glad to hear that the powerpoint presentations are helping your ministry.Yes, you can use just portions of the presentation. Just please use the slides you have chosen as is. Manipulating them and presenting them as my design is not right. God bless you with a fruitful ministry.
God bless your ministry!
Dear Pastor Vicente, Thank you for accepting my name on facebook. Not only did we get reconnected but also led us to discover your website for Bible study. Thank you for your ministry. It's amazing how the Lord provides when we seek Him.It's nice to be sitting again in your Bible class- this time, it's not only me but with my husband and 2 kids, and for FREE!
@Jicel.
@Mary. I am glad that you find the SSL helpful. This is a ministry that I can no longer give up because many are finding it useful in church. It started as something for my personal use in teaching. Those who saw began asking through e-mail until CLC created a website for me. When that one stopped, my son-in-law created this one. An average of 500 weekly users visit this site. And it is growing.
God be praised for your creativity and and willingness to share the word. Inspirational may you continue to lift up he name of Jesus
Thanks pastor for sharing this presentation.
Here is Singapore.
@Lesmond, thanks and please pray that more may be reached for Christ by this ministry.
@Jerry, its my pleasure to know that these presentations are helpful. What church in Singapore do you belong to? My children were members of the Maranatha church when they were in Singapore.
Happy Sabbath Pastor Vicente!
I think you know me pretty well. Si Darling po itoh. Ang inyong friendly (hopefully) neighbor's daughter. I'm overwhelmed to know that you have this sight to help with our studies. Months ago, I made a Sabbath School supplementary about the book of Romans. It helps understand the book of Romans. I'm so glad that you have this presentation to help us well understand the lessons. It's still different coming from a pastor's views. May God bless you more and more! You and Maam are such blessings to our family!
Hi Darling! Who won't know you as neighbor? And what makes me glad is your use of this tool in serving the Lord.
As more and more people find it useful, I am more encouraged to make an effort to improve it. May God bless you in your effort to share your faith.
thank you for this site..
Thank you Pastor for a great site... This is very helpful! If you need some help regarding this, I can be a helping hand...

thank you so much pastor. God bless your ministry and you in Christ!
@Nemy, GBU too.
@Ahiezer, many years (more than 10 years ago!) when this powerpoint presentations were not yet being shared to others, I taught the SS lesson in my SS class at Philippine Publishing House using my laptop so the small class could view the slides. It's a bit awkward but it was a great help and the members loved it. I also did it this way in two churches in Singapore and I noticed that members of the others classes kept looking at my laptop. May God bless your teaching ministry.
thanks for the powerpoint presentation, its very useful in our local church here in davao city
Hi Arman. It is gratifying to hear that you are using this ppt in Davao. During the last National Convention for Literature Evangelist and Publishing Leaders in Cebu, several mission presidents from Mindanao have told me that they too are using these presentations. I praise the Lord for this.
Thank you so much Pastor Vicente for this website I have just opened for the first time. It's so very informative an interesting to know and to use these powerpoints in teaching the Sabbath School Lesson. GOD bless you and more power...
Hi Cons. Welcome to this website. The SSL ppt here are just tools. Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower you as you use them. And may you be a blessing to those you serve through these.
Dear Pastor Claro,
Godbless =) 1 Thessalonians 5:23
1. They were sealed. Of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (7:4).
2. The Father's name is written on their foreheads. (14:1).
3. They sand a new song before the throne. Only they among the redeemed could learn this song. (14:3).
4. Not defiled with women, they are virgins. (14:4).
5. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. (14:4)
6. They are firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. (14:4).
7. No guile, no fault. (14:5)
Our church here in Bangkok is using your presentation. It's such a blessing to us all. Especially to those who are newly baptized. I just want you to know that taking the time and effort for doing this has been a blessing to many many people. Happy Sabbath and God bless you and your family!
Hi Darling. I am happy to learn that Bangkok church is using this ppt presentations. It is my prayer my continued prayer that those who use them will always respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit that they may reach the truth that is in Jesus. Please give my regards to our brethren there. It's now 1:05 a.m., Feb 16, Manila time. I went to the CR and noticed that the internet connection is on. It has been erratic the whole day Wednesday. I have called PLDT and it was good for a while. But when it was time for me to upload the lesson, there was no connection. So I took the time to do it now because it might be gone again when I get up in the morning.
Saan at kelan kaya tayo pwedeng magkita.
More power po sa inyo and God Bless your work.
Thanks Pastor CRV for sharing these wonderful powerpoint presentations.
I am really overwhelmed by this wonderful power point. I won't be afraid anymore to help with the adult Sabbath School in case I will be asked.
Thank you so much.
Dear Pastor CRV,
Your PowerPoint presentations are great, comprehensive and very helpful. I use them to teach a class of college students. But there are times when they are not easy to download. This became a challeng when you changed from underlining to highlighting the activated lesson
Thanks for your preparing powerpoint every week.
It is greatly appreciated and has been used in my Church,
To God be the glory, keep up the good work.
Bro. Adair, it pleases me no end to learn that these powerpoint presentations are being used in your church. More and more I am receiving feedbacks from different places around the globe. That pushes me to faithfully upload the lessons each week. I thank
God for this opportunity of having a world-wide ministry through the internet.
I pray that many will respond to the Holy Spirit as you use this tool in your ministry.
Pastor, I am currently studying at Northern Luzon Adventist College as a Theology and i am expected to graduate this coming March.
I also serve as a student Pastor at Caba and Aringay La Union to support my studies.
Pastor, it is very awkward to say this but i have to be honest with you... Sometimes i follow the directives in your presentations. But i am hearing some feedbacks from the senior citizens and illiterate that they cannot fully grasp the message of the lesson when it is being presented in English. Because when the presentation is in English, the tendency is to speak english even in the deliberation and explanation of some important points. This makes it hard for the lay members to understand especially the important theological doctrines that we want to emphasize. Hence, i am requesting you to grant me the permission to do some revisions to your slides from English to the vernacular Ilocano or Tagalog (you have provided the Tagalog translation already so it is just easy to patch it up).
Why am I asking this Pastor? Why do I bother to borrow your work???
The way you summarize the lessons are great and easily understood even by a lay member of the church. Hence, for me, a beginner in the ministry would have a hard time picking the right words that you do for the lesson to be properly reviewed to the church members and they could grow in spirit and in truth in their quest of eternity.
Rhino, thank you for your interest in making this powerpoint presentations useful in your ministry as a pastor. It is really important that we are understood, else our efforts will be in vain.
I had a 5-Sabbath series at the Adventist Hospital Church in Santiago City, last month. I also taught the Sabbath School lesson using this presentations while speaking in Tagalog. One of the elders told me that present during the services was a member who does not understand English but appreciated very much my speaking in Tagalog. Present also, were a husband and wife foreign-missionaries. Of course, they benefited from the English slide.
I have been approached several times in the past, appreciating the English slides and Tagalog oral presentation. Some even said that they will use the same technique.
While your request has a good intention, I am sorry to be unable to grant it. I can't take credit on something I have not done. If your microsoft ppt application allows you, use the setting "presentation tools" (this is for Mac, so look for the equivalent in PCs). This will allow you to read the notes (Tagalog translation) while the audience see only the English slides. This way you will use straight Tagalog not mix-mix or Taglish. Open the pps in ppt mode to be able to do this. You may even change the notes to Ilocano if you want to teach in that dialect. I allow changes in the notes, not in the slides!
I pray that God will continue to use your ministry in nurturing His people.
thx for these good presentations. but i am still waiting for the 2. "Heaven" on Earth
hope everything is good though
greetings and blessings from 'claus nicolaisen -- denmark
Claus, I am sorry about lesson two. In the more than 10 years that I have been uploading the Sabbath school lessons this happened for the first time. My computer's hard disk gave up. The lesson is there and I have not yet backed it up when it did. So I could not retrieve the lesson. I did not have the time to recreate the lesson by the time my computer was repaired.
On Monday, I will see if someone can retrieve it together with some other important items that I need. If it is impossible to do so, I will recreate lesson 2 and upload it for those who want to complete their file.
Thank you for your interest in these lesson presentations. It pleases me to note that someone in Denmark is using them. .
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
